ATTORNEYS AND COUNSELLORS AT LAW 274 GUERNSEY LANE THOMSONVILE, COLUMBIA TELEPHONE: 010-1234-5678; TELEFAX: 010-1234-5679 WWW..ZWL.COM VIA REGULAR INTERNATIONAL MAIL May 18, 2005 Deguang Zhang, Esq. Zhang, Wang & Lee, L.L.P. 666 East Chang’an Blvd. Beijing, China 100001 Re: Lisa Wang Dear Deguang: I hope that by now you have had the opportunity to meet with your clients, the Wang family, and are prepared to arrange regular visitation between my client, Celia Ng, and her beloved granddaughter, Lisa. As I told you over the phone, my client is quite anxious to resume her relationship with the child and has heard from Lisa that she shares this desire. Ms. Ng’s motives here are not selfish ones. She believes that the child will benefit substantially by continuing to have contact with her grandmother and the other family members who are her blood relatives through her natural mother. She also wants to continue to assist her granddaughter materially as she is in a better position to do so than are the Wang family. My client recognizes that Mr. Wang feels great antipathy toward her. She wants to make peace with him, if possible, for the benefit of this daughter. She is also quite flexible about the terms of any visitation agreement that we can work out and is certainly willing to agree to an arrangement that is convenient to the Wang family. Ms. Ng wants to avoid causing your clients the expense of litigation over this matter and hopes that formal proceedings can be avoided for the reason as well as to avoid causing any problems for her Lisa. Nevertheless, because she feels so strongly that visitation is in the best interests of the child, she is prepared to file a Petition in the People’s Court if we are unable to agree. Very truly yours, ___________________
