Re: Advice of Credit
Gentlemen:
We have received a letter from American Venturetech, Inc., New York, USA, informing
us that they have issued their irrevocable and transferable credit (No. 12345) in your
favor for account of American Venturetech for thirty five thousand US Dollars (USD
$35,000.00) available upon presentation of the following documents at our office on
or before November 27, 2004:
1. Draft at sight in duplicate drawn on Bank of China, Beijing.
2. Commercial invoice in triplicate.
3. Full set of clean on board ocean bills of lading issued to order of shipper,
blank endorsed, marked “Notify American Venturetech, New York, USA and
freight prepaid.”
In view of the fact that this credit is issued in transferable form, if it is your intention
to transfer your interest thereunder, kindly return the instrument to us for
appropriate endorsement and furnish us with your letter of transfer in a form
acceptable to us. Signatures on your letter of transfer must be verified by your
bankers, who must also indicate that parties signing have the legal capacity to make
such a transfer. Your letter must also be accompanied by your remittance covering
our transfer commission.
If the terms of the credit do not meet your requirements, please communicate at
once either with your principals or with us in order to have the credit appropriately
amended by the issuing bank.
This letter of advice must accompany your drafts when presented for negotiation.
We confirm the credit and hereby undertake that all drafts drawn and presented as
above specified will be duly honored by us.
When credits have been advised to us by fax, particulars thereof are subject to
confirmation by mail.
