Anytown, Anystate 30013 The United States of America Re: Irrevocable Letter of Credit Dear Mr. Olson: Please be advised that my client, Bank of China, has established an irrevocable letter of credit in your favor. Bank of China will forward to you a true and official copy of the letter of credit under separate cover upon your final approval and acceptance of the terms and conditions specified hereunder. In case you have any questions, please ask your counsel to contact this firm for further clarification. Kindly take notice that the letter of credit is for account of China Foreign Trade Group, Ltd., Beijing, China, up to the aggregate amount of USD $ 2 million (two million US Dollars) available by your drafts drawn at sight on Bank of China for 100% invoice value and accompanied by the following documents: 1. Commercial invoice in triplicate. 2. Special U.S. Customs invoice, in duplicate. 3. Full set of clean on board ocean Bills of Lading issued to order of shipper, blank endorsed, marked: “Notify China Foreign Trade Group, Ltd., Beijing, China,” and “Freight Collect.” The negotiating bank must forward all documents to Bank of China in one cover by airmail. The amount and date of each negotiation must be endorsed on the back thereof by the negotiating bank. Bank of China agrees with drawers, endorsers and bona fide holders of drafts that all drafts drawn under and in compliance with the terms of this credit shall meet with due honor upon presentation and delivery of documents as specified hereinabove to the drawee if drawn and presented for negotiation not later than May 20, 2005.
